The Large Group Meeting and Apericena at Moyo

It was winter December 2013, we had this chat through Facebook, it was Fifi who came up with an idea to have a meeting with all members of the community. At that time I remembered, she has added David into the group. We agreed to have a dinner together and the easiest way we could think of was to meet up for la apericena somewhere at the city center.

I suggested Moyo Bar for some reasons. First, it located in the Santa Croce neighborhood, where there was an annual German market. The idea was to visit the German market together after the dinner, just to be able to spend more times together and to get to know each other better in the fresh outdoor air. Second, apericena would cost everyone a price of one glass of drink, and thirdly, I've been there once, it was spacious enough for a meeting place of 20 people and the food was alright.  

Double Rainbow

I was just arrived home from school that Tuesday afternoon, after I taught Jewelry-making club. As I biked home I saw the sky was dark above Florence but there was sun rays brightly shone through thick dark clouds ahead of me. When I arrived home the sky was darker.

The Best is Yet to Come - More Friends Were Added to ICiT

Things went so quick more than I expected, it was great to befriend with Fifi. She is a lovely enthusiastic woman, a very friendly lady with a lot of energy. She is very independent and energetic, I felt pumped when I got around her. I admired her energy! The night later she added many of her Indonesian friends into the group, and suddenly….from 6 the number has increased to 20 members!  Amazing!

A Big Lunch, New Friends and the Donkeys

It has been a while since the last time we met up together. Everyone was busy with different activities and many people traveled during the summer holiday from June to August. We still stayed in touch and as soon as we found out that many have come back from the holiday, we decided to quickly have a small gathering before the cold season start. 

The Beginning of My Eczema

Never in years had I fallen flat on the ground and wounded. I almost forgot the feeling of having bruises and bloody wounds. Until that day, after I spent a nice day of touring the beautiful Tuscan hills in a mild autumn weather with 'Bike Florence & Tuscany'. I fell right with my left knee knocking the ground hard. It was so hard that I thought my kneecap was cracking. A second later I groaned in an extreme pain, holding my left knee tightly, hoping that there’s no broken bone and trembling by the thought of not being able to walk again. Fortunately, a moment later the pain got lesser, I tried to move my knee up and down, grateful that despite the bloody pain, it still worked well. Only the open wound was so bloody that I wished it was no more than skin deep. It happened at the front yard of our friend's house, his mother ran toward me and helped me to stand up by lifting my right arm. With her help, I stood slowly and started to walk to the porch. She went into the house to get some medicines and bandage. I was more than thankful that moment when I recalled how I was almost got hit by a speedy car before entering the gate in the morning that very same day. The situation could be a lot worst! Thank God for His protection.
