Good evening all,
It has been raining all day. It's wet and rather unpleasant outside. I've been busy all day with some house works in the morning, and spent the whole afternoon doing my first task of this term. I just finished it a moment ago, so now I have time to write a post on my blog again.
As I am sitting here in my living room, thinking of what to share with you this time...my idea is still pretty much on food. After giving you a list of Oriental restaurants and food shops in my previous post, I will give you a list of Italian restaurants this time.

The so-called average affordable diner can still cost you around Eur 15-25/person, which to some is still a little costly. It surely is pricy if you opt to dine out every day or go to fancy Michelin stars restaurants. So, what's the trick to eat-out with less cost? The answer is to go for an apericena. What is it exactly? Apericena roots from the word aperitivo. According to yourdictionary, an aperitivo means a beverage that is alcoholic that is consumed prior to a meal with the intention of stimulating the appetite. Apericena is a combination of aperitivo and cena (an Italian word for dinner). Basically, you can have dinner by paying a glass of drink. Although the definition of aperitivo means alcoholic drink, don't worry, almost all aperitivo places provides a variety of non-alcoholic drink as well.
Without further ado, let's get down to my list of 5 favorite apericena spots in Florence:
Kitsch Firenze, there are two locations:
- My favorite is Kitsch at Piazza Beccaria, here is its exact address: Viale Antonio Gramsci, 1/5r 50121 – Firenze. See maps - I like this place because of their amount and variety of food.
- If you are closer to the other Kitsch, here is the address: Kitsch Devx Via San Gallo, 22 r 50129 – Firenze. See maps
Odeon Bistro, Piazza degli Strozzi, 8 rosso, 50123 Firenze FI. See maps - This used to be an ideal place to eat before or after I watched a movie, as they gave a discount of Eur 2.- when you showed your movie ticket. This doesn't apply anymore, so you need to pay a full price which is Eur 12/person.
Colle Boreto, Piazza degli Strozzi, 5, 50123 Firenze FI. See maps - located right across the Odeon, it's an option when Odeon Bistro is fully occupied or when you want different vibe.
Maestri di Fabbrica, Borgo degli Albizi, 68/r, 50122 Firenze FI. See maps - this is a good spot for veggie fanatics, as they provide different kinds of salads. Healty and yummy. It is located in the local artisan store, you can look around after or before meal.
Mojo, Via dei Benci, 23, 50129 Firenze FI. See maps - usually full of students and teenagers. Modern and hip.
All cost Eur 12/person for a glass of drink and a buffet (all you can eat) dinner. The cost might be higher if you choose some specific wines. Other than the above places, there are many more choices for aperitivo and apericena near by. If you prefer another place to try, all you need to do is just walk around the corner, you will soon find other options. In my opinion, Florence is a haven of aperi-tivo/cena.
